Curriculum

Conducts Early Education (Kindergarten) using the Montessori Method, Primary Education (elementary school) uses Cambridge and the Indonesian National Curriculum, Secondary Education (junior high school and high school) using Cambridge and the Indonesian National Curriculum. SDB offers ICAS (International Competition and Assessments for Schools) sponsored by the University of North South Wales, Australia.

CAMBRIDGE SECONDARY DAN KURIKULUM NASIONAL INDONESIA

Bahasa Inggris Sebagai Bahasa Kedua

Kerangka kurikulum ini mengembangkan para peserta didik dalam keterampilan berbicara, mendengarkan, membaca dan menulis dalam bahasa Inggris. Kurikulum telah dikembangkan bersama dengan menggunakan penilaian dalam bahasa Inggris Cambridge dan ini didasarkan pada Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR), digunakan di seluruh dunia untuk memetakan kemajuan peserta didik dalam bahasa Inggris.

Matematika

Kerangka kurikulum mengeksplorasi 6 (enam) bidang yaitu : Bilangan, Aljabar, Geometri, Pengukuran, statistika, dan Pemecahan Masalah. Kelima bidang tersebut termasuk dalam pemecahan masalah yang menyediakan struktur untuk mengaplikasikan ketrampilan matematika. Strategi operasi hitung juga bagian penting dari isi bilangan. Kurikulum berfokus pada prinsi-prinsip, pola, system, fungsi dan hubungan, sehingga peserta didik menerapkan pengetahuan Matematika mereka dan mengembangkan pemahaman dasar mengenai mata pelajaran.

IPA

Kerangka kurikulum meliputi 4 (empat) bidang yaitu penyelidikan ilmiah, biologi, kimia dan fisika. Penyelidikan ilmiah adalah tentang pertimbangan, ide-ide, evaluasi bukti, perencanaan kerja investigasi, dan merekam dan mengalaisis data. Tujuan penyeleidikan masalah adalah untuk mendukung pembelajaran Biologi, Kimia dan Fisika, yang berfokus pada pengembangan kepercayaan diri dan minat dalam ilmu pengetahuan. Kesadaran lingkungan dan beberapa sejarah Sains juga merupakan bagian dari kurikulum.

Cambridge dipetakan ke Kurikulum Nasional Indonesia

Kami telah meninjau kerangka kurikulum untuk Cambridge di samping Kurikulum Nasional. Untuk masing-masing mata pelajaran, ada ringkasan kunci-kunci persamaan dan perbedaan di antara kedua. Kurikulum dan gambaran tentang bagaimana tujuan pembelajaran yang berkaitan dengan deskrip sitingkat kurikulum nasional.

Junior High School

CAMBRIDGE SECONDARY AND INDONESIAN NATIONAL CURRICULUM

English as a second language

This curriculum framework develops learners’ speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English. The curriculum has been developed in conjunction with Cambridge English Language Assessment and is based on the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), used across the world to map learners’ progress in English.

Mathematics

The curriculum framework explores six content areas: number, algebra, geometry, measure, handling data and problem solving. The first five content areas are all underpinned by problem solving, which provides a structure for the application of mathematical skills. Mental strategies are also an important part of the number content. The curriculum focuses on principles, patterns, systems, functions and relationships, so that learners apply their mathematical knowledge and develop a holistic understanding of the subject.

Science

This curriculum framework covers four content areas: scientific enquiry, biology, chemistry and physics. Scientific enquiry is about considering ideas, evaluating evidence, planning investigative work, and recording and analysing data. The scientific enquiry objectives underpin biology, chemistry and physics, which are focused on developing confidence and interest in scientific knowledge. Environmental awareness and some history of science are also part of the curriculum.

Cambridge Secondary is mapped to the Indonesian National Curriculum 

We have reviewed the curriculum frameworks for Cambridge Secondary alongside the National Curriculum. For each subject, there is a summary of the key similarities and differences between the two curricula and an overview of how the learning objectives relate to the National Curriculum level descriptors.
