Sekolah Darma Bangsa has always given importance not only to the academic works of our students but also to the extracurricular activities that are geared towards the holistic development of the child. Through the SDB Fair musicals, our children get the chance to showcase their talents in the different performing arts such as singing, dancing, playing of musical instruments and acting. Through this annual activity, the students also learn discipline and how to carry out responsibilities given. This year, our students from Grades 4 and 5 will showcase their talents through the musical drama entitled “Sabai Nan Aluih”.

The story of Sabai Nan Aluih which originated from West Sumatra tells us about the amazing courage of a young woman who has the beauty that is adored and a heart that is loved by many.

This story is a little different from the previous musicals we have had as it focuses on the strength of the woman as a hero but also emphasizing the woman’s natural kindheartedness. This story also shows combat scenes and surprise talents that our students have in them. These raw talents are what inspire us to do better in our craft. The enthusiasm that we see in our children’s eyes is our motivation in order to make this musical drama a success. I would like to thank the teachers and staff who have been very helpful and supportive since day one.
