Bandar Lampung – The serene natural atmosphere bore witness to the joy of SMP Darma Bangsa students during the annual event titled “SMP Darma Bangsa Goes Camping 2025.” The activity, which took place from October 30–31, 2025, was met with high enthusiasm. This camping trip aimed to build independent character and personality, as well as to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among students outside the formal classroom environment and away from their textbooks.
From the moment they arrived at the campsite (Taman Betung), students were immediately challenged to work together to set up tents and organize their own equipment. Under the guidance of friendly teachers, including the Head of SMP Darma Bangsa, Mr. Arif Fahrudin, M.Pd., Gr., students learned that comfort does not come easily but is the result of hard work and team collaboration.
The Outdoor Fun Learning activities were a delightful part of the program. These included:
- Mushroom cultivation
- Ecoprinting
- Game sessions to train focus
- Nature exploration
- Visiting a deer sanctuary to learn the importance of environmental conservation
During these activities, laughter erupted during group game sessions, where team strategy and communication between peers were the keys to victory.
The most memorable moment occurred at night when the bonfire was lit. In the cool night air, students gathered in a circle, shared stories, and showcased their artistic talents. This camping trip was not merely a holiday, but a “laboratory of life.” The event concluded with a reflection session and cleaning the campsite area as a form of responsibility toward nature. Through this event, SMP Darma Bangsa hopes that the values of discipline and cooperation learned during the camp can continue to be applied in daily school life.
