SDB Camp 2026: Building Character and Togetherness with Sekolah Darma Bangsa

The SDB Camp 2026 activity is an outdoor learning program designed to provide meaningful experiences to students through activities in open nature. This activity was held at Restu Bumi Camp and was attended by all students with full accompaniment from teachers and OSIS (Student Council) administrators. Through this camping trip, students were invited to learn about independence, togetherness, leadership, and social care in a fun and educational atmosphere.

The activity began in the morning with preparations at school. Since seven in the morning, all students had gathered to conduct a joint prayer before departure. After that, participants headed to the camping location using buses prepared by the school. All activity equipment was brought together under teacher supervision to ensure safety and order during the trip. An atmosphere full of enthusiasm was felt from the start, visible from the spirit of the students who could not wait to participate in the series of activities in open nature.

Upon arrival at Restu Bumi Camp, the students were given time to rest for a moment before the official activities began. The opening activity was carried out with the distribution of group tents and a brief explanation regarding the rules and technicalities of the outbound activities. After that, the OSIS certificate handover ceremony was held as a symbol of the change of management from the previous OSIS to the new OSIS. This moment became an important lesson about responsibility, leadership, and organizational sustainability within the school environment.

Entering the outbound session, students participated in various games designed to train teamwork, communication, and courage in decision-making. This activity was led by the OSIS team and directly supervised by the teachers. All students appeared active and supported each other in completing every challenge. After the outbound finished, students rested, had lunch, and performed worship together as a form of balance between physical and spiritual activities.

In the afternoon, the activity continued with first aid training, survival, and rescue simulations. In this session, students were equipped with basic knowledge on how to handle emergency conditions, survive in nature, and perform simple rescue actions. The material was delivered practically so that students could directly try and understand the correct steps. This activity provided valuable experience that can be useful in everyday life.

Approaching late afternoon, the activity atmosphere was made more relaxed through a closeness session. In this session, students were invited to interact more closely with their friends through togetherness activities aimed at strengthening friendship bonds. Laughter and familiarity were clearly visible, creating a warm and family-like atmosphere among the participants. Late afternoon to evening was filled with joint worship activities, dinner, and preparation for night activities. The peak of the night activity was the “jurit night” (night walk), where each group had to visit several challenge posts prepared by OSIS. These challenges tested the students’ courage, cohesiveness, and mental toughness. Although carried out at night, the activity ran safely because it was under teacher supervision.

After the jurit night, all participants gathered to join the bonfire activity. Around the flames, students and teachers sang together, shared happiness, and enjoyed the calming natural atmosphere. This moment became one of the most memorable parts because it was able to strengthen togetherness and create beautiful memories for all participants.

The second day began with the dawn prayer in congregation, which was carried out with full solemnity. After that, students participated in morning exercises and the announcement of awards for the groups that showed the best cooperation during the camping activities. After breakfast, students tidied up their equipment and prepared to return to school. The return journey proceeded in an orderly manner and full of gratitude until all participants arrived back at Sekolah Darma Bangsa safely.

Through this SDB Camp 2025 activity, the students not only gained recreational experience but also very valuable character learning. The values of discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and togetherness instilled during the activity are expected to continue to be applied in daily life, both in the school environment and outside of school. This camping is proof that learning can not only be done in the classroom but also through direct experience in open nature.
