Building a Strong Partnership Through “The Nature’s Symphony”
To mark the beginning of the 2026/2027 Academic Year, SD Darma Bangsa successfully held its two-day Parent Orientation under the theme “The Nature’s Symphony: Flowing Through Wisdom, Rising in Strength and Virtue.” This event served as an important opportunity to strengthen the partnership between the school and parents in supporting every child’s meaningful learning journey.
Just as every element in nature contributes to a harmonious symphony, each member of the school community plays a vital role. Through this theme, SD Darma Bangsa invited the entire school community to move forward together in harmony—cultivating wisdom, building strong character, and nurturing virtues that will guide students throughout their lives.
Day One: Uniting Our Vision for a Meaningful Beginning
The first day of the orientation, held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, welcomed parents of Grade 1 students and transfer students. Hosted in Hall B, the program began with registration, an opening ceremony, a prayer, and the singing of the national anthem as a reflection of the school’s commitment to national values.
The event officially opened with an inspiring welcome address from the Chairperson of the Foundation, highlighting the importance of a strong partnership between families and the school in nurturing future generations of excellence.
Parents were then introduced to SD Darma Bangsa’s academic programs and school policies, including school regulations, the learning system, and the introduction of the school leadership team and teaching staff who will guide students throughout the 2026/2027 academic year.
One of the key sessions focused on Character Development, an essential part of education at SD Darma Bangsa. The school believes that a child’s success is measured not only by academic achievement but also by character, integrity, compassion, and the ability to collaborate with others.
The first day’s program concluded with a presentation on financial policies, followed by a question-and-answer session that provided parents with an opportunity to engage in open discussions with the school.
Day Two: Building Stronger Connections Within the Classroom Community
The orientation continued on Friday, July 10, 2026, with parents of students from Grades 1 to 6. Unlike the first day, the sessions were conducted in each respective classroom, allowing parents to become more familiar with their children’s learning environment.
During these sessions, homeroom teachers introduced the class profile, teacher profile, school and classroom rules, and the Board of Parents, which serves as a strategic partner in supporting various school programs and initiatives.
Parents also received guidance on the use of Google Classroom, school email accounts, and Guardian Summaries, which provide ongoing communication and updates on students’ learning progress.
The atmosphere became even more engaging during the parent introduction and classroom discussion session. This provided an opportunity for parents to get to know one another, share their hopes and expectations, and establish positive communication with the homeroom teachers to create a supportive and nurturing learning environment for every student.

Parent Orientation is more than just an annual event—it is the first step in building a strong and lasting partnership between the school and families.
