Student Orientation 2026/2027: Cultivating Character and Wisdom Through “The Nature’s Symphony”

SD Darma Bangsa warmly welcomed its students to the 2026/2027 Academic Year through a dynamic five-day Student Orientation program held from July 13 to July 17, 2026. Centered around the theme “The Nature’s Symphony: Flowing Through Wisdom, Rising in Strength and Virtue”, the orientation was thoughtfully designed to support student adaptation while instilling core values, independence, and leadership from day one. By seamlessly integrating the SDB Core Values into every activity, the school aims to build a positive and meaningful learning culture.

The first day commenced with a warm homeroom welcome for grade 1 students and a solemn flag ceremony for Grades 2 through 6, followed by school tours and interactive teamwork games. These initial activities established Discipline and Respect through honoring school traditions and guidelines. Simultaneously, the collaborative games nurtured Empathy and Kindness alongside Confidence, encouraging students to greet new peers, communicate openly, and support one another as they adapted to their new environment.

On the second day, students explored their personal potential through creative sessions such as My Mini-Me Canvas, This is Me Game, The Secret Talent Map, and the Time Capsule of Tomorrow. These expressive activities empowered students to display Confidence and Creativity in sharing their talents and future aspirations. Concurrently, the administration of Diagnostic Assessments fostered Analytic and Problem Solving skills, guiding students to recognize their unique learning preferences and prepare for upcoming academic journeys.

Safety awareness and literacy culture took center stage on the third day with emergency disaster drills, fire extinguisher (APAR) demonstrations, career exploration, and library orientations. The emergency simulations trained students to remain calm, act quickly, and follow protocol, embodying Analytic and Problem Solving and Discipline. Meanwhile, library orientation sessions instilled Respect and Fairness and Honesty, reminding students to honor shared learning spaces and act responsibly with school resources.

The fourth day focused on building resilience and digital responsibility. Grade 1–3 students participated in discipline and patriotic training with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), cultivating Discipline and Endurance to build mental and physical stamina. For Grades 4–6, sessions on data privacy, netiquette, fake news awareness, and anti-bullying reinforced Fairness and Honesty, Respect, and Empathy and Kindness, equipping them to navigate digital spaces responsibly and treat others with consideration.

The orientation concluded on its fifth day with practical life skills training, including Basic Life Support and health education conducted by medical professionals from Hermina Hospital, a Cleaning Our School campaign for Grades 4–6, and a final reflection session. Partnering with healthcare experts nurtured Empathy and Kindness and Respect for well-being, while the school cleanup reinforced environmental care. The final reflection session allowed students to practice Endurance and Confidence as they reviewed their growth and stepped boldly into the new school year.

Through this comprehensive program, SD Darma Bangsa reaffirms its dedication to guiding students to flow with wisdom, rise with endurance, and flourish with integrity, aligned with “The Nature’s Symphony.” Welcome to the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Let us embark on an inspiring journey of learning and growth together at SD Darma Bangsa.
