SMP DARMA BANGSA: Celebrating the 81st Independence Day of Indonesia

In commemoration of the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, SMP Darma Bangsa held a series of activities on Thursday, August 13, 2026. The event provided an opportunity for students from Grades 7, 8, and 9 to celebrate the spirit of independence through various activities that promoted sportsmanship, teamwork, creativity, and love for the country.

The celebration began with a group photo session on the field, with everyone dressed in the red and white theme. This was followed by the opening ceremony and a speech delivered by Ms. Windi Sugesti, S.Pd., Gr. The atmosphere throughout the event was solemn, festive, and filled with enthusiasm.

The activities began with a cooking competition participated in by the female teachers. Students then took part in various exciting competitions, including Futsal, Tug of War, Kerupuk Eating, Geger Ball, Nail in the Bottle, Water Circle, Ball Chopsticks, Sack Race, and Marble Relay Race in the Pool. These competitions involved representatives from each class and provided students with opportunities to demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship.

In addition to sports and traditional games, the celebration also featured a Digital Poster Competition and an Independence Greeting Video Competition. These competitions provided students with opportunities to express their creativity, share positive messages about independence, and foster a sense of pride in Indonesia.

hrough this Independence Day celebration, SMP Darma Bangsa hopes that the values of sportsmanship, togetherness, and perseverance will not only be practiced during the event but also applied in students’ daily lives. The celebration is expected to strengthen the spirit of unity while developing students’ skills in sports, social interaction, teamwork, and creativity.
