SMP Darma Bangsa officially kicked off the new academic year with an energetic and purposeful Student Orientation program designed to help transition new students into their junior high school journey. The multi-day event focused on building character, fostering discipline, and helping students adapt to their new environment. By blending structured activities with interactive experiences, the school ensured that the incoming class felt both motivated and supported as they took their first steps into this new academic chapter.

Discipline and leadership development took center stage during the physical training sessions of the orientation. Through *Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan* (LDK) and rigorous “baris-berbaris” (marching drill) exercises, students learned the fundamentals of teamwork, focus, and mutual respect. Guided by experienced instructors, these sessions challenged the students to align their movements and work cohesively as a unit. This training was not just about physical precision; it aimed to instill a strong sense of responsibility and mental resilience that will serve them well in their academic and personal lives.

To ease the transition into the school community, the orientation featured dedicated sessions for introducing the faculty and exploring the campus. Students had the opportunity to meet their new teachers, understand classroom expectations, and familiarize themselves with the school’s facilities. A key highlight of the social bonding experience was the “makan pagi bersama” (communal breakfast) sessions. Sharing a morning meal allowed the new students to chat informally, break the ice, and begin building lasting friendships with their peers and educators in a relaxed setting.

The program concluded on a high note with a series of exciting outbound activities and team-building games. These outdoor challenges required creative problem-solving, communication, and trust, allowing students to apply the leadership lessons they learned earlier in the week. By the end of the orientation, the quiet and hesitant newcomers had transformed into a united, enthusiastic cohort. SMP Darma Bangsa has successfully set a positive, collaborative tone for the school year, equipping its newest students with the confidence and camaraderie needed to thrive.
