Sekolah Darma Bangsa Hosts Annual Open House & Parenting Seminar “Not Only Smart, but Also Shining”

Bandar Lampung, September 26, 2026 — Sekolah Darma Bangsa once again hosted its Open House & Parenting Seminar, an annual event that provides a meaningful space for the school and parents to come together and explore important aspects of supporting children’s growth and development.

This year’s event, held at Hall B, Sekolah Darma Bangsa, carried the theme “Bukan Hanya Pintar, tapi Juga Bersinar” (Not Only Smart, but Also Shining), focusing on Multiple Intelligences and how parents can better recognize and nurture the unique potential of every child.

The event welcomed approximately 350 parents, including members of the Sekolah Darma Bangsa community as well as families from outside SDB. The strong attendance reflected the participants’ enthusiasm for understanding children’s uniqueness and learning how to provide support that aligns with their individual strengths and potential.

The event opened with performances by students from TK through SMA. TK students began with a welcome delivered in English, followed by a dance performance by elementary school students, a poetry reading by junior high school students, and a singing performance by senior high school students. The performances across different educational levels reflected the school’s commitment to providing students with opportunities to develop their talents, creativity, confidence, and ability to express themselves.

The main session featured Ivy Batuta, presenter and artist, and Rosdiana Setyaningrum, M.Psi., Psychologist, with Reymund Levy serving as the moderator.

Through the theme “Not Only Smart, but Also Shining,” parents were encouraged to look at children’s potential from a broader perspective. Intelligence is not limited to academic achievement, but also encompasses different abilities, interests, character traits, and individual ways of learning and growing.

The seminar also invited parents to reflect on how they recognize their children’s strengths, provide meaningful support, and create an environment where children can grow with confidence and become the best version of themselves.

As an annual event, the Open House & Parenting Seminar reflects Sekolah Darma Bangsa’s commitment to fostering meaningful collaboration between school and family. Education does not only take place in the classroom, but also through parents’ involvement in understanding and supporting their children’s journey of growth.

The event concluded with a school tour, giving participants the opportunity to explore the SDB environment and learn more about its educational programs and services.

Through this year’s event, SDB once again emphasized that every child has their own unique potential.

Because every child deserves not only the opportunity to be smart, but also the opportunity to shine in their own way.
