Junior High School Fun Camp 2026: Together, Character-Driven, and High-Achieving

Darma Bangsa Junior High School organized a camping trip as part of the Student Council’s (OSIS) work program for the 2026–2027 academic year. The camp took place from Thursday to Friday, October 8–9, 2026, at Taman PKK Agropark, Lampung. Centered on the theme “Camp to Connect: One Experience, Stronger Together,” the event aimed to foster togetherness, enhance independence, and develop leadership qualities among the students.

The event opened with remarks from the Principal of Darma Bangsa Junior High School, Windi Sugesti, S.Pd., Gr. In her address, she explained that the “Camp to Connect: One Experience, Stronger Together” initiative serves as an outdoor learning experience designed to cultivate independence, discipline, responsibility, and leadership. She encouraged all participants to engage in every activity with enthusiasm, maintain a spirit of unity, show mutual respect, and follow the guidance of the accompanying teachers. Through this event, students are expected to gain meaningful new experiences while strengthening solidarity and cooperation among their peers.

Following this, the students took part in an Outdoor Field Learning (OFL) program, which covered topics such as hydroponic and non-hydroponic cultivation, fisheries, and animal husbandry. This provided a hands-on learning experience, broadening the students’ understanding of how various cultivation techniques are applied in daily life.
Additionally, the students participated in a variety of educational games and a Basic Leadership Training (LDK) session, designed to hone their skills in collaboration, communication,

responsibility, and leadership. The program concluded with a group morning exercise and the reading of secret messages—a reflective activity intended to further strengthen the bonds among the students. Camping tents are an integral part of the student council (OSIS) camping trip, fostering a sense of togetherness among the participants. Beyond serving as a place to rest, the tents complement activities designed to strengthen cohesion, build discipline, and cultivate a sense of responsibility. The student council’s handover ceremony (Sertijab) marks the transition of leadership, as the outgoing committee passes its responsibilities to the incoming team. This event serves as a starting point for the new leadership to continue existing work programs while bringing fresh energy and innovation to the school’s advancement.

Through this initiative, SMP Darma Bangsa hopes that students will gain meaningful learning experiences, enhance their independence, and develop a sense of care and responsibility. Furthermore, the event is intended to strengthen bonds among students, in line with the theme: “Camp to Connect: One Experience, Stronger Together.”
