Forging Independence and Togetherness in the Great Outdoors: The Excitement of SDB CAMP 2026 by Darma Bangsa School
Restu Bumi Camp — Darma Bangsa School (SDB) once again hosted its prestigious annual event, SDB CAMP 2026. Carrying the concept of outdoor learning, this camping activity was designed to build students’ character through the cultivation of independence, leadership, teamwork, and social awareness in an educational and joy-filled atmosphere.
All students actively participated in the event from start to finish with full support from the teachers and the Student Executive Board (OSIS).

First Step: Departure from School The series of activities began in the morning on the school grounds. At 07:00 AM, participants dressed in SDB’s signature sports uniforms gathered on the field for a briefing and group prayer to ask for safety and a smooth event.
At exactly 07:30 AM, the group departed for the campsite aboard school buses. Loading equipment and logistics onto the buses went smoothly under the strict supervision of accompanying teachers. Cheerful faces and laughter filled the journey to the camp.
Arrival at Restu Bumi Camp & OSIS Handover Ceremony Upon arriving at Restu Bumi Camp around 08:15 AM, students took a brief rest to adjust to the natural surroundings. The event continued with the official opening, tent group assignments, and a technical safety briefing.
A crucial moment during the opening was the OSIS Handover Ceremony and Certificate Presentation. The outgoing OSIS board officially passed the leadership torch to the incoming board—a meaningful lesson for all students about responsibility, leadership succession, and organizational continuity.

Building Teamwork through Outbound Activities and Creative Workshops At 10:00 AM, the excitement grew as the Outbound session began. Guided by OSIS officers and supervised by teachers, students were divided into 11 groups to tackle various agility challenges designed to train effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.

After a lunch and prayer break (ISOMA) at noon, activities resumed at 01:30 PM with the Creative Workshop. Students developed their hands-on skills and creativity through practical group activities.

Strengthening Bonds and the Night Patrol Challenge In the late afternoon (the Closeness session at 03:30 PM), the atmosphere relaxed as participants chatted and bonded with teachers, staff, and peers. After freshening up, praying, and having dinner together, the evening fun commenced.

At 07:00 PM, the Jurit Malam (Night Patrol) challenge started. Each group navigated a night trail and passed through check-point challenges created by the OSIS committee. This session tested courage, mental fortitude, and mutual trust within each team, all under the close watch of teachers stationed at every post.

Warmth of the Campfire and a Refreshing Morning To wrap up the first day, everyone gathered around the Campfire at 09:00 PM. Filled with sing-alongs and short performances, this moment fostered deep warmth and togetherness in the cool night air. At 10:30 PM, students returned to their tents to rest.

Day two started with morning prayers, followed by a refreshing group Aerobics Session. Excitement grew during the Prize Announcement for various contest categories, followed by breakfast and a camp clean-up.

Closing and Reflections At 08:00 AM, participants packed their personal belongings and tents before assembling on the main field. The group left Restu Bumi Camp at 09:30 AM and arrived safely back at Darma Bangsa School at 10:15 AM.
Through SDB CAMP 2026, Darma Bangsa School not only provided a fun recreational experience but also successfully instilled strong positive character traits in its students. This outdoor learning experience proved that direct engagement with nature remains one of the best ways to nurture independent, resilient, and leadership-minded youth.
