MPLS SD Darma Bangsa 2025/2026: A Colorful MPLS, Welcoming the Future at SD Darma Bangsa

A bright smile and eyes full of curiosity marked the beginning of a new adventure for the new students of SD Darma Bangsa in the 2025/2026 school year. For five days, from July 14 to 18, 2025, our school proudly held the School Environment Introduction Period (MPLS), uniquely designed for elementary school students. This activity not only introduced them to their new surroundings but also instilled important values through a series of fun and educational activities.

The MPLS began with a warm introductory session where students learned about school rules and classroom values that would guide them. This familiar atmosphere was built through games, such as DIY Game, and creative activities like “Through my lens: capturing a school break moment,” which encouraged students to see simple things around them from a different perspective. This session also included watching inspiring videos that motivated them to be brave enough to dream and not be afraid to try new things.

The next three days were the peak of the insightful MPLS activities. Students were invited to participate in unusual but very beneficial training. In collaboration with doctors from Hermina Hospital, they received Basic Life Support Training, equipping them with important life-saving knowledge. Not only that, national awareness and discipline were also strengthened through National Insight, Patriotism, and the UN and Discipline Training led directly by the Indonesian Army. The students learned about marching, order, and the importance of loving their country. Road safety was also a focus, with a session on Traffic Regulation Compliance from the Lampung Regional Police Traffic Directorate, which taught them how to ride and walk safely.

On the last day, the students were invited to express themselves and reflect on their experiences. Through “The Wishing Tree: A Tapestry of Student Dreams,” they wrote their dreams and hopes on the school’s wishing tree, creating a visual work that depicted collective ambitions. Their creativity was also tested in the “Visual Storytelling: A Poster Creation Session,” where they made posters to retell their experiences during the MPLS. Their works became tangible proof of their introductory journey at school.

This year’s MPLS concluded with two important sessions: a Diagnostic Assessment to identify students’ potential and learning needs, and a Self-care session that taught the importance of maintaining physical and mental health. With a blend of innovative and educational activities, the 2025 MPLS successfully equipped students with knowledge, skills, and noble values that will be valuable assets for their journey at school. This activity not only introduced them to the physical school environment but also built character, fostered self-confidence, and forged friendships that will accompany them throughout their years of learning.
