“Berteman dengan AI, Bertumbuh dengan Orang Tua”
On Saturday, September 20, 2025, Sekolah Darma Bangsa opened its doors for a special event: the Parenting Seminar & Open House. With the theme “Berteman dengan AI, Bertumbuh dengan Orang tua”, the half-day program (08:00–12:00 WIB) brought together parents, teachers, and staff to explore how technology and family values can go hand in hand in raising the next generation.
The event began with a warm welcome from the school, reminding everyone that artificial intelligence is no longer a distant future—it is part of our children’s daily lives. Yet, while AI can support learning and creativity, nothing can replace the role of parents in giving love, guidance, and strong character education. The message was clear: let’s not fear technology, but learn to befriend it and use it wisely for our children’s growth.
To make this vision more concrete, two inspiring speakers shared their expertise:
- Bahni Mahariasha, AI Educator
Gave a fresh perspective on the opportunities and challenges of AI in education. He encouraged parents to understand AI tools so they can stand beside their children as learning partners, not just as supervisors. - Rosdiana Setyaningrum, M.Psi, MHPED, Psychologist
Highlighted the emotional needs of children. She reminded parents that while digital tools are helpful, empathy, open communication, and emotional presence at home are still the key ingredients for a child’s well-being.
The audience filled the hall with enthusiasm from the very beginning. During the Q&A session, parents raised thoughtful questions: “Which AI apps are safe for children?”, “How can we prevent kids from getting addicted to gadgets?”, and “What’s the best way to balance screen time with outdoor play?”.
Meanwhile, the Open House provided families with the opportunity to explore classrooms, laboratories, and technology facilities firsthand. Many visitors were impressed by how Sekolah Darma Bangsa blends digital innovation with strong character education, showing that the school is truly preparing students for the future—without losing sight of human values.
To support families interested in joining, the committee also prepared a registration booth for the upcoming academic year 2026–2027. Both current families and newcomers were welcomed to ask questions, collect brochures, and even begin the enrollment process right on the spot.
The Parenting Seminar & Open House closed on a high note. Participants left with new insights, practical parenting tips, and a strong reminder that while AI can be a powerful friend, it is the love, presence, and values from parents that will always guide a child’s true growth.
