SD Darma Bangsa once again demonstrated its strong commitment to nurturing a generation of intelligent, creative, and environmentally conscious learners through the Student-Led Conference (SLC) Phase C, held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Hall B of SD Darma Bangsa. During this event, fifth and sixth-grade students enthusiastically and confidently showcased their learning achievements, wrapped in the overarching theme: “Smart Tech, Clear Earth – Together We Innovate for a Better Tomorrow.”
This event served as the culmination of a project-based learning journey aligned with the Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) framework, focusing on the theme “Internetku Sehat”, which aimed to raise students’ awareness about the importance of using the internet in a healthy, safe, and responsible manner. Students explored both the benefits and negative impacts of internet use and learned how to become smart and responsible digital citizens. They were also encouraged to connect this learning with real-life contexts at school and in their communities, transforming knowledge into concrete projects and meaningful action.
Beyond digital awareness, students took real environmental action by producing Eco Enzymes and Dry Compost, based on their observations and identification of environmental issues around them. This entire process formed part of the school’s efforts to foster ecological awareness from an early age, while training students to think critically and find solutions to real-world challenges within their social environment.
What made the experience even more valuable was its connection to Outdoor Learning Phase C, which had taken place earlier on April 16–17, 2025. On the first day, students had the valuable opportunity to attend a Sharing Session with the academic team from the Internet Engineering Technology Program of Politeknik Negeri Lampung (Polinela). During this session, students were introduced to the world of technology and the internet from both academic and practical perspectives. On the second day, they visited Polinela’s campus and witnessed firsthand how technology is applied in the higher education setting. This immersive experience broadened their insights and strengthened their understanding of science, technology, and nature in a fun, tangible, and memorable way.
In addition, sixth-grade students participated in a field trip themed “Discover Nature’s Beauty and the Future of Technology.” In this activity, they were not merely passive observers, but actively created slide presentations that they designed themselves. Through these presentations, students explained the journey, the insights they gained, and the connections they made. The main goal of this trip was to increase environmental awareness and introduce students to basic ecological concepts such as biodiversity. Direct observations of various ecosystems, landscapes, and natural phenomena gave them a profound appreciation of the interconnectedness between nature and technology. Their enthusiasm was evident as they confidently presented their reflections and observations.
All of these learning processes culminated in the SLC event, where students presented their projects in front of parents and teachers, shared brilliant ideas, and performed artistic presentations such as songs and dances that reflected their spirit of change for a better future. Their performances not only demonstrated subject mastery but also showcased courage, creativity, and strong teamwork.
Parents in attendance were visibly proud to see their children confidently speaking and passionately sharing their ideas and creations. This moment served as a powerful reminder that with the right guidance and enough room to explore, every child has the potential to grow into a changemaker for the future.
Through a meaningful blend of digital learning, environmental action, real-world exploration, nature appreciation, and creative expression, SD Darma Bangsa reaffirms its commitment to building a learning environment that is inspiring, innovative, and joyful—a place where students not only learn theories, but also live them and create solutions that make a real impact on themselves, their communities, and the world they are shaping.
