Day One: Getting to Know the School and Its Culture
The program began on Monday, July 14, at 7:15 AM with a flag-raising ceremony, followed by the official opening of MPLS. New students were symbolically welcomed as members of the SMA Darma Bangsa family. This opening event took place on the school field and was attended by the entire school community.
Afterward, students were introduced to the Chief Principal and school staff. They then listened to a welcome speech from the SMA Darma Bangsa Principal in the Morgan – Steve Job room, emphasizing the importance of integrity, enthusiasm for learning, and collaboration.
The agenda continued with an introduction to the Student Council (OSIS), outbound group assignments, and the “Anak Indonesia Hebat” morning exercise held on the field. Day one ended with a fun outbound activity followed by a school clean-up to build a sense of responsibility for the environment.
Day Two: Instilling Values and Aspirations
Tuesday, July 15, started with opening remarks by OSIS and an explanation of school regulations and SDB’s core values. Students were then invited to write their “Tree of Hopes”, symbolizing their personal goals during their time at the school.
After a short break, students joined the school activities introduction session, which covered extracurriculars and flagship programs. The event became more exciting with games and a school tour, allowing participants to explore school facilities.
At midday, students performed the Dzuhur prayer and had lunch, followed by an introduction to the principal and teachers. Students were then divided into their respective classes.
As the final highlight, winners of the outbound activities and the MPLS Queen & King were announced—recognizing exemplary spirit, participation, and attitude throughout the event. MPLS closed with a group photo session on the field, marking the start of their journey at SMA Darma Bangsa.
