UN Day SMP Darma Bangsa 2025: Celebrate Differences, Create Harmony.

In commemoration of Youth Pledge Day, SMP Darma Bangsa held the United Nation Day (UN Day) event on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. This activity served as a platform for all students from Grades 7, 8, and 9 to celebrate cultural diversity from around the world and across Indonesia, while fostering a spirit of unity, tolerance, and creativity among the younger generation.

The series of events began with a Youth Pledge Day ceremony, followed by the official opening and a welcoming speech delivered by Mr. Arif Fahrudin, M.Pd., Gr. The atmosphere was solemn yet enthusiastic. The recitation of the Youth Pledge by I Kadek Kenzie Devano and Elisa Simanjuntak (The Leader and The Vice Leader of SMP Darma Bangsa Student Council) served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of unity amidst diversity.

The UN Day celebration featured a variety of creative and educational competitions, including the Country Booth, Solo Song, and Traditional Dance Competition. During the Country Booth activity, each class presented a 3D wall magazine project representing United Nations member countries. Each booth showcased cultural decorations, informative displays, simple traditional food, and interactive quizzes that attracted visitors’ interest. Students’ creativity was evident through the use of recycled materials in booth decorations and attributes, reflecting their environmental awareness.

In addition, class representatives showcased their artistic talents through the Regional Solo Song competition, introducing the richness of Indonesian culture through traditional songs. The event was further enlivened by Traditional Dance performances, presented in groups by each class with great enthusiasm, coordination, and strong cultural expression. Each performance reflected students’ confidence, courage, and deep appreciation for Indonesia’s cultural heritage.

Through the UN Day program, SMP Darma Bangsa hopes that the values of unity in diversity are not merely commemorated ceremonially, but are also internalized and practiced in daily life. This annual event aligns with the core values and character of Darma Bangsa School and is expected to support the development of students’ skills, both academically and socially, as well as their creativity. In line with the theme UN Day 2025: Celebrate Differences, Create Harmony, the spirit of unity in diversity is hoped to continue growing within the entire Darma Bangsa School community.
